Kostek is one of the precursor tattoo artists of the Veine Graphique, and the co-founder of the Boucherie Moderne, in Brussels. He is a guitarist and actor of the collective TAT2 Noise Act, as well as a painter, and is associated with Venomen for a series of posters.
His Neo Opt Art paintings are minimalist, geometric and psychedelic abstractions. His main influences are Kandinsky, Rothko, Escher and Vasarely.
Kostek seeks the balance of his iconographic system in a subtle mixture of abstraction, psychedelia and superimposed planes. This colorful and hypnotic graphic depth is inspired by and modernizes the timelessness of Opt Art. His compositions in square formats are real groovy abstractions that burn the retinas.
