French visual artist, Céline Guichard is an over-active actor of the contemporary drawing scene. For the past twenty years, she has already published 23 beautiful monographs with cutting-edge and avant-garde publishers. She collaborates with numerous magazines, silk-screen printers and engravers but also with poets and writers.
From her work as a painter she keeps the brush and the Indian ink in her drawing, producing subtle washes surrounded by deep blacks... Her images, often dreamlike and surrealist, speak of strange bodies and fantastic animals, they resonate with her obsessions for human biology, abnormality and transgression.
